About

Any sort of information that isn't covered in the guide can be found here. (I can't say it's particularly interesting, but it's needed either way!) Please excuse that I'm absolutely horrible at this type of thing!

Trading Card Game?

Ah, so you've never heard of an online Trading Card Game? I've been into the fandom of playing these games for a few years now, and I've only heard from various ones, but I do know that Calico came up with the idea awhile back.

If you've ever played trading card games in real life, you'll know that you get cards and then trade them with your friends. That's exactly what online ones are, except that they are quite a bit more versatile. The cards can feature anything from your favorite celebrity to music videos to movies, and everywhere in between.

Instead of spending real money on the cards, you earn them by playing games on a website, and then you display your cards right on your own site. It's really simple and completely addicting!

Last Waltz?

I'd been thinking about opening up a TCG for awhile, but I had a really hard time coming up with an idea for one. I was brainstorming with Zanny, and she mentioned Sony. Some of my favorite artists are signed to the label, so it seemed like a perfect idea.

On October 22nd, the idea of turning the site into a game for both Avex and Sony was thought of. Everyone agreed on it, and the switching commenced!

However, as I soon learned, even those two labels was too narrow of a selection. I was quickly running out of artists to make decks of, and with the lack of members, I wasn't sure how to fix that! That's when an idea hit me. Last Waltz would become a Music Label tcg. Ideas started forming immediately, and I knew it was right for the game.

At the moment, Last Waltz is home to a wide variety of Japanese music artists, some well known, some extremely obscure. They were once organized by label, but as we grew, that proved to be too difficult and confusing. Now, they can be found all on one page, and their labels can be viewed on their card pages, and on one big list of everything. We also have a wide variety of videos, photobooks, and even characters different artists have played.

The name "Last Waltz" came from a song of Mika Nakashima's.

Prejoin opened on October 15th, 2007, and I'm sorry to report this, but I can't remember when we officially opened!

Management

In reality, Last Waltz is ran by four people, all doing a huge amount of work. We work together to come up with games, events, and anything else that we may do. Layouts are checked by each of us, we all spend quite a bit of time on either making cards or finding images, we all have some part in the games. While Tanya does own the game, she couldn't do it without the huge amount of help.

Founder and Owner; Tanya takes care of most of the background things, as well as making cards.
Zanny was there right from the start and helped to create the game initially. She runs multiple things at the moment.

Viscaria really helps make the game what it is today. She does an AMAZING amount of work. Everything from running the shop to making cards, to helping with events.
Hideto has always been around to supply images; without that help, most of the decks wouldn't exist.
